Do You See What I See?
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: a
Who were these Magi’s and what was there purpose in the unveiling of Emmanuel (God with us), The Messiah?

The coming of our Lord was introduced with the Coming of The Wise Men. We recognize these wise men for their heart in the matter and realize that they followed what seems to be a direction given from God to seek this King of Kings that is in Jerusalem (The City of Peace).
These wise men triggered King Herod to search the scriptures for this meaning. We have several scriptures that give prophecy of the Messiah’s coming:
Jesus’ birth, life, and death were foretold, predicted, and recorded hundreds of years before the historic night in Bethlehem.
Here are ten prophecies from the Old Testament, fulfilled in the coming of Jesus:
10. Jesus will live a perfect life, die by crucifixion, resurrect from death, ascend into heaven, and sit at the right hand of God. Prophecies: Psalm 22:16; Psalm 16:10; Isaiah 53:10â11; Psalm 68:18; Psalm 110:1. Fulfilled: 1 Peter 2:21â22; Luke 23:33; Acts 2:25â32; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 1:3.
V4) when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
We see that they had the scriptures to cling to and should have known what to do next. The thing that they did next reveals the Heart of King Herod, Chief Priest, Scribes, and the People. This is compared to in contrast to these wise menâ¦
These Wise men reveal their heart by their actions and further reveals that God’s Glory will be soon manifested through the Gentile Nation and will crush the gentile God’s.
The Jews were hard fast to keeping Deut 6:16 â 25 and believed that as they control their actions would earn their righteousness. The result of this was they got so close to the commandments that they could no longer see the author of the law, testimonies, statues and commandments. This became traditions and soon lost it’s true meaningâ¦
Can we possibly make the same error?
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
